Yesterday the Organization for Security and Co-Operation in Europe (OSCE SMM to Ukraine) reported that they came under fire in Yasynuvata, "three bullets flying west to east over their heads and saw one of the bullets land 10-15m east of the SMM". If one looks at a map it is clear to see that the bullets came from Ukraine territory, West = Ukraine East = DPR. Again and again the OSCE refuses to put the blame on Ukraine for almost anything. When it is clear where the firing came from, whether it is bullets or shelling that destroys home, the OSCE should report who fired the shots.

"On 2 February 2018 at 13:00, an SMM patrol consisting of six SMM members and two armoured vehicles was positioned at an abandoned gas station on road M04 about 2.5km south-west of “DPR”-controlled Yasynuvata (16km north-east of Donetsk), about 2km east of the contact line. Between 13:00 and 13:50, the SMM recorded five undetermined explosions, 11 shots of infantry fighting vehicle (BMP-2) cannon (30mm) fire and 34 bursts and shots of heavy-machine-gun and small-arms fire, all 1-2km west. Between 13:50 and 14:08, the SMM heard uncountable overlapping bursts and shots of heavy-machine-gun and small-arms fire 1-2km west. At 14:08, five SMM members were standing in between the SMM’s armoured vehicles when they heard the hissing sound of three bullets flying west to east over their heads and saw one of the bullets land 10-15m east of the SMM. The SMM patrol immediately left the area and returned safely to its base in Donetsk city at 14:55."

"As we known from the report of the SMM OSCE, on February 2, 2018, in the area of the settlement Yasinovataya the patrol of the OSCE CMM was in the firing zone.

The Ukrainian side said traditionally that the firing was from the DPR side.

The representation of the DPR in the JCCC collected the information and the conduct the investigation into the fact of the incident.

As a result of a survey of eyewitnesses, including the observers of the Yasinovataya JCCC group an analysis of the positions of the parties and the weapons used, it was found that the shooting was made from a forest located west of the Yasinovataya railway junction, and also from the direction of the industrial zone of the settlement Avdeevka which was under the control of AFU from a distance of 2000 to 2500 m.

The enemy used:

• BMP-2 30 mm caliber, the maximum range of damage - 4000 m;
• NSV machine gun "Utes" with a caliber of 12.7 mm, the maximum range of attack is 6000 m;
• PKM machine gun 7.62 mm caliber, the ultimate range of damage is 3800 m.

Hits fell in the area of ​​the gas station, located on the southern outskirts of the village Kashtanovoe.

Published on February 3, the operational report of the OSCE CMM confirms the results of the proceedings of the DPR Delegation in the JCCC.

Comparing the data specified in the SMM report, and the map-scheme of the shelling, it becomes obvious where the shooting was from.

In addition, it should be noted that the command and personnel of the 25th separate airborne brigade of the Armed Forces regularly violates the ceasefire regime, as a result of which the area of ​​the industrial zone of Avdeevka and Yasinovataya remains an escalation zone.

From the beginning of 2018 many cases of violation of ceasefire by the AFU recorded. They resulted damage and destruction of residential buildings in the territory of the DPR. We should mention the cases of deaths and injuries of civilians in the firing of a shuttle bus at the Yelenovka Checkpoint, as well as the firing of the settlement Dokuchaevsk."
