Ripple faces UK Parliament!
Ripple Faces UK Parliament on Volatility, Security and Benefits of Crypto. A UK government hearing was held on Tuesday 01st May, aimed to inform regulators about the nature of blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
Four panelists sat in front of the UK treasury committee, but it was Ripple’s Director of Regulatory Relations Ryan Zagone who took the most of the spotlight – he faced a tense round of questioning on Ripple’s payment technology RippleNet, Ripple’s coin XRP and the future of banking on the blockchain.
The UK, while currently not against cryptocurrencies, seems to continue its regulations. The Treasury committee will review how overseas government and regulators have approached digital currencies and learn.
