Introducing new members to steemit community

Yesterday i approached two of my classmates and told them about my life, my goals and how i hope to achieve them. While we jazzed i couldnt resist the mention of steemit because i believe in what it stands for. One of them said he heard steemit from another friend at the start of the semester but he did not think it was a serious platform, i looked straight into his eyes and laughed because i have seen the lives of people change with steemit. There and then i opened up @jona12 and @jaraumoses steemut pages and showed him how these people have built up to what they have now. He froze for a second in disbelief, his phone wasnt charged so he ran and picked a charger because he wanted to sign up right away and i helped him do so.

My other friend called benjamin had never heard of steemit so i took him through what steemit is and how he can start earning by posting, commenting and upvoting. He was super excited to hear that joining the steemit platform was at a free cost because he was once involed in a platform that required money to join and things went south.
His worry was how long would it take him to start receiving more than 50SBD on his posts, i told him it is all about commitment and consistence, i then showed him how all the fellow ugandans i look upto started and where they have reached with the consistence.
** Teacher's happiness**
Yesterday i felt like a teacher, he/she gives you knowledge but he rejoices more when you understand and pass the exams. Being able to help my friends get onto the steemit network makes me feel so proud because i believe there is much more we can achieve when we come together. They learnt how to post, comment and upvote and are simply waiting for their accounts tp be approved.
why many are missing out
What hurts me mostlty is i keep telling people about steemit but few develop interest to join.
People want you to take them to the lake then go ahead and fish for them, and even after showing them the fish, some claim its dead or its from another lake. What i mean is whenever people are shown steemit money thos e who dont believe think it is from another source but not steemit.
People claim to be busy doing other things, but in the long run they earn far less money compared to what steemit can pay them. I have heard of people leaving their jobs to concentrate on steeming and they have never regreted.

I want to build a reputation on this platform so everyday i am tasking myself to encourage my friends to join, post, comment and upvote. I believe this is going to change very many lives. Lets us push out steemit to as many people as possible.
