So what is really needed for this type of sighting is to have SEVERAL different camera angles for the same event, so that you can possibly work out the speed and direction the object is traveling, as well as triangulating distance from the camera, etc. The camera person would need to record their GPS location accurately. Doing the camera work from a moving CAR NOT recommended. Just pull over, set up a tripode, record your gps, and time, and go. Come on people, this is 2018 and we got the tools right there on our smart phone.
