Jon Jones wanted to be a cop before he entered the UFC

For people wondering, so far results haven't come back from Jon Jone's second sample for PEDs. Yet the evidence so far points to him being a steroid cheat and serial abuser leading some to ask the question of whether or not he is a sociopath. Jon Jones has not given any interviews to explain his position so far either so while this is on the backburner a new article appeared which claims Jon Jones wanted to be a cop originally.

Nothing wrong with being a cop or wanting to be a cop and plenty of people want to be cops. On the other hand the desire to be a cop shows a desire to enforce laws, to set rules, it takes an interesting set of traits for someone to want to become a cop in the first place as it's also a dangerous profession. In fact, statistically being a cop is more dangerous than being in the military (if we go by national statistics), and if we are talking about a cop in a city like New York or Chicago it's certainly dangerous.

Yet Jon Jones wanted to be a cop, would he have been a good cop?

Jon ‘Bones’ Jones: While I know it’s not the most popular profession. But, being a cop is cool to me. While these guys are here to serve and protect, there the one’s that rescue your mom when you’re not there, help your grandma when she falls down. I look for the good guys in the law enforcement agencies and what they have to offer.

What we don't hear much about Jon Jones is his views on ethics, on morals, on what exactly makes someone a good guy or good person. We know Jon Jones is Christian, and believes in God, but do we know how he thinks of right and wrong? This is something he should in my opinion go into more, because people need to know his thought processes when he made mistakes in his life, why he did what he did, what motivates him? Martial arts is about more than kicking ass.
