Is Jon Jones really an MMA sociopath?
Jon Jones if his B sample proves he used steroids in his fight with Cormier will have beaten up a guy who tested clean whilst getting paid to do it. What exactly does it feel like to be an MMA fighter who knows you're using steroids and who can get paid to beat people up?
This is looking bad for Jon Jones who may have been the most talented and best MMA fighter in history. He was in a sense the Michael Jordan or Lebron James of MMA and now he's potentially lost it all. If he's fighting just to beat people up for money then that would be sociopathic but if he really does care about honor, about martial arts, about the respect, then he owes everyone an apology but in particular Cormier and his fans.
You must be joking, right? Nobody is stupid enough to get in that ring for anything other than money. MMA is not some traditional martial arts competion with all of its spiritual elements - it's just a bunch of guys looking to get the big paycheck, that's it.
I'm willing to bet my left nut that most of these guys are doped up. Even the Olympians are taking steroids these days.
People get into the ring for money when they first start out. When you get to the level of a Jon Jones or Daniel Cormier then it becomes about more than money. Legacy is what it's about as well.
If Jon Jones just wants to make money he can make movies, do endorsements, do boxing, go to the WWE for a match or two, we are talking about one of the most marketable MMA fighters in history. Conor McGregor is showing that you get to a certain level and you're bigger than MMA and Jon Jones had the opportunity to do the same thing Conor McGregor is doing.
I do think some people fight just for the money but how do you get to be as good at it as a Jon Jones without the spiritual or martial artist element? If he really only cares about the money then he is maybe the most naturally talented fighter in history who simply didn't care about martial arts.
Saying everyone does it isn't really good enough. Yeah a lot of people use PEDs but the majority aren't using actual steroids and those who do aren't usually the most naturally talented. Some fighters really need the steroids but Jon Jones isn't one of the fighters who needed it. He had all the natural gifts anyone could ask for, the fighting IQ, the reach, the natural creativity.
I also want to be clear it's very possible people set Jon Jones up. It's a very jealous world and I wouldn't put it past people close to him to deliberately help him to fail. That said, he should have learned from his first experiences to not fall for that. It's not his first time getting a tainted supplement.
You're suggesting that he didn't know that people around him were putting steroids in his supplements?
Trying to give him a benefit of a doubt.
Why should he get it though? If he already got caught twice, why should he have the benefit of the doubt?
Good point. Most others caught doing the same crime twice don't get sympathy. People make mistakes but the whole point is to learn and never make the same mistake twice.
I'm not sure if just because he fights for money, or just because he uses steroids, that makes him a sociopath. All of these guys at the end of the day are fighting for the money. And many of of them, probably most of them, just like other professional sports, have used steroids.
I think many of them, not just Jones, use steroids, and they get away with it. There are plenty of ways around these tests. None of them are perfect. Also, false positives are a very common thing. The B sample may provide some more evidence.
So who all is on steroids in the UFC?
In the words of the great Nick Diaz:
If he really followed the bushido, he would not have popped in the first place...cormier doesn't have any problems testing hot
Imagine if we learned Michael Jordan tested positive for steroids after his second championship?
Definitely sociopathic behavior...had this same conversation the other day, lol!
For the record Jon Jones is one of my favorite MMA fighters but if he's using steroids then he didn't really beat Cormier. He beat up Cormier but didn't beat him according to the rules.
Lets wait for the results before jumping to conclusions! But I admit this is not looking good!
It's going to take a miracle. And honestly there were rumors that Jon Jones is a sociopath, or fake, just Google. The problem is now with all this it's starting to look like the people who were spreading those rumors have a point.
How can he explain if it's found that he did use not just a tainted supplement but an actual steroid? You can't buy the drug anywhere in any supplement. A sociopath wouldn't care about anything other than winning on fight night.
Again I hope the test result is wrong, I want to see him fight Brock Lesnar and honestly his fight with Cormier was one of the best MMA fights in history.

He is going to lose his whole legacy if the test is positive, he should have cared about that atleast!!
I agree, it cannot be explained. People are questioning his psychology because it doesn't make any sense for someone to not care about their reputation. People make mistakes but if a person keeps making the same mistake?
At this point, Jon Jones could fly into a burning kitten factory, save everyone inside, while nursing a baby, and his legacy would still be tainted.
Whaaaa??? Im going to beat that boys ass!
Yeah he is pretty sociopathic I've had my suspicions since the 'go and get some fans' after the Machida fight, also the fact that he puts on those voices to suit whatever situation he is in and manipulate people. I can't lie as wrong as it is I do find it entertaining how blatantly he lies sometimes:
"are you still there pussy"
"i was hacked"
"dick pills"
lol
