UAVs for landscape monitoring
We have huge ranches where we are currently planting corn and some legumes. We spend a lot of time inspecting the fields to see where we haven't used enough fertilizer and where we need to fight parasites or the corn is diseased. What's the best way to optimize this task. We tried to watch everything from a quadcopter, but it quickly runs out of power.
You can try to buy a larger quadcopter, which has a higher capacity battery. This will make it much easier to survey the fields where you grow crops.
We bought the most powerful quadcopter available for civilian use, but the ranches are very large, it takes 5-7 sorties to see just one field of corn. This is if you look at the fields in great detail. If not in detail, then 2-3 sorties are enough.
I agree it is not convenient, but if you buy a few of these quadcopters, you can ease the work, I understand that they are expensive, but you optimize the survey of the fields and will be faster to analyze everything.
But only each quadcopter is not networked and works as an independent unit. That is, you will need to coordinate the route between the quadcopters and then compare videos. The best way is to use the systems from UAV Network. Such UAVs are interconnected, the routes are aligned with the position of the other UAV. They also have a large battery capacity, so they can fly long distances and shoot high quality video. This system was developed by graduates of the best aviation university.
