It's time to harvest and dry berries and fruits. Here is my drying, but still raw. In the winter I will cook it with compote.

@setik I dehydrate fruits and berries as well, but I use an electric dehydrator. Your method fascinates me. How do you keep the insects out of your food? Upvoted
Thanks for the comment. But so did my grandmother and mother, so do I. Perhaps you are right, but I do not have an electric dehydrator, I have to dry this way.
@setik Please forgive me I meant no disrespect. I admire anyone who can accomplish these tasks in the traditional way. I have never been successful doing them the traditional way. Perhaps it is because I live in a very hot and dry environment. I was just asking about the insects as I have had food almost eaten away by them before the food got dry.
Thanks for the answer! All is well. There were no insects, because one window was closed, and the other had a mosquito net, so everything is in order.

The family that used to rent my house from me grew them mostly. I took the tomato sees and sprouted them. I have a sunroom where I germinated the seeds. We ate some of them, they took the rest and sold them. I had grew some sunflowers. Not all of the sunflowers grew because we have alot of birds that steal the seeds. I have deer that comes in the yard looking for food as well. A lot of wildlife. Bears, racoons, and possums as well.
Wow, how interesting. Do you live in the wild? You have so many ideas for posts, and you do not want to use them. You have a camera, take a picture of it all. It is so beautiful!
