From one point of view sad news for small transactions, on the other hand, hey other crypto currencies now have a bigger chance for a shot. I think bitcoin will find itself in deep sh..t if it continues to take these big fees.
It already is in deep shit. We not have Bitcoin Cash as a result of the 1mb limit, which wasn't even in the original design. The 1mb limit was introduced as a temp measure to avoid spam transactions in the early days when the cost to perform a spam attack was negligible, which is not the case with today's prices.
