Your first answer is a good one and is the answer my husband usually gives me too. But being the one who cooks and chooses the meals is a big responsibility and it would be nice to have a little feedback now and then. Just saying...
When we can't decide what we'd like to have for a meal we play a fun game - What would you have if you could have anything at all, price not an object, wherever in the world? It usually turns out to be falafal (me) and chocolate cake (him) and then I go make us sandwiches. :-)

Once I made the mistake of really pressuring my husband to help me decide what's for dinner. For a few weeks he got way too involved with dinner planning, suggesting things I didn't want to cook, suggesting additions and corrections. He might have done that on purpose? Because I was really glad when he went back to 'Whatever you want is fine.' :-}
