TV SERIES REVIEW: ENTOURAGE
If you are yet to indulge in this popular series, then hopefully my review will give you a chance to do so..
Entourage was a very popular HBO TV series that ran for 8 seasons from 2004-2011. A great series for lads, but this series really has something for everyone that understands youth humour and camaraderie.
Entourage is actually jointly produced by Mark Wahlberg, and rumour had it that the story line pretty much was based on how Mark hit the Hollywood big time and took his best friends along for the ride.
Vincent Chase is the star of the show, and his main friends (or Entourage) are E, Turtle, Johnny Drama and of course, his manager, Ari (played by Jeremy Piven) personally Ari is easily my favourite.
So without giving too much away, there are numerous cameo appearances from stars and celebrities far and wide, all who make the show what it is. There is even an episode where Val Kilmer plays a hippy organic cannabis dealer.
One thing which really separates Entourage from other shows, Is that many of the episodes are filmed live. eg at Madison Square garden during a real fight, with the camera rolling and switching to the real characters, except they are really at the fight. The same thing happens in an episode where the crew all head to Las Vegas, and again the footage is live in a real casino at a real table with (some) real punters!
Make sure to prepare properly for Entourage, that is if you plan to watch this show, make sure you have at least the first three seasons ready to go as it is very addictive.
From the theme song, to the added funky music throughout the shows, the clothing, the temper tantrums from Ari, and of course, for the boys, there is an absolute abundance of hot women throughout every episode!
