RE: .

I have been to Dachau and seen what was done there.

I have read testimonies from prisoners of war who were held in these 'work camps'. I have seen video footage and photographs taken by the Germans in theses places.

You can deny what happened all you like, that doesn't make it unreal.

Is there propaganda associated about the death camps and Adolf Hitler? Of course. The west needs to identify a single person to blame for the war, and that person has to be evil personified in order to justify their bungling attempts at redress, their indifference and incompetence at diplomacy.

How could the Germans have let Hitler come to power?
How could the Americans have let Trump come to power?

The people don't let someone come to power - the person takes power and uses their knowledge of human psychology to convince people that they are right.

Hitler was good at this.
Trump is good at this.

In my travels I have talked with many Germans about the war, as it interests me. They feel the stain of it on their psyche. I have not met a single German that supports the killing of civilians. And there is a quiet determination, at least among the youth, that Germany should never repeat the mistakes of the past.

I am not Jewish. But I too lost family to the war. Denying what happened won't bring them back or remove their suffering. Knowing what happened, the full horror of it, and understanding how this could happen is the best way to prevent it from happening again.

If only those in America could see and do this before their own version of a tyrant leads them down a path that will make what Hitler did seem tame in comparison.
