I've used the argument myself many times. It's not necessarily racism. It's racial profiling, which (are you sitting down?) makes overwhelming sense since there are huge differences between the various subcultures in the United States.
I've traveled extensively throughout the United States and encountered (and spoken with) many many men of many backgrounds. I'm convinced that 9/11 was an "inside job" calculated to avoid what appeared to me to be a race war that was on its way to emerging.
That morning, when I heard the news, my first reaction was, "This is the end of racism and of feminism in the United States."
