When I arrived in South Africa in 1990, my sister was suffering from epileptic fits (still does). She was being provided with medicine from the gov hospital and they would do a check-up for free once a year.

I was unhappy about it and made her go to a private doctor.

It turned out that the meds she was one have been banned by the gov and other goves worldwide, as it kills, but the gov buys them for providing as meds to those who qualify for free treatment. So, if a private doctor gives it to you, he can go to prison, but it is okay for the national health doctors to prescribe it.

Almost sounds like the Bayer story doesn't it?
