RE: Another Broken Promise: Trump Taxes The Internet

in #trump6 years ago

I'm not sure how this is a mis stating of facts exactly. Obviously Trump didn't tax the internet himself through decree the way King George would have, but as I understand it, he was in favor of the measure.

The question in my mind is why this "mis stating of facts" (not sure what facts you're referring to here) makes a significant difference. Is Trump your hero? If he's your god, then you've become a slave. In that case, happy dependence day.

Not that I don't appreciate to some degree that Hillary got the boot, but we're just exchanging overlords, not getting rid of them.

I for one don't believe in honoring anyone in power. Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. None have been shown worthy and all have ἁμαρτία (Greek word for sin). Stop being a follower. Too much obedience has led to terrible atrocities in the world.

Sort:

It is a very simple concept.

The title is misleading clickbait BECAUSE The President did NOT tax the Internet.

The bill does not tax anyone.

The President required businesses to collect sales taxes already imposed by the states and remit them to the states.

Those are NOT new taxes and they are NOT imposed on the Internet.

The title is misleading clickbait.

It is very easy to understand, and I am certain you do.

The bill does not tax anyone.

Really? Then where am I sending that imaginary money? To an imaginary government?

Those are NOT new taxes and they are NOT imposed on the Internet.

States are enacting new laws because of the legislation. My tax accountant has sent me this link explaining the requirements...
