RE: United States: Rick Gates, former Trump advisor pleads guilty

in #trump7 years ago

Every week goes by and slowly more and more continues develop from this Mueller investigation. The sad fact is that 80%+ of Americans are too self involved in their own lives to really give a shit about any of this. More and more drips out of the white house and is filling the bucket that is the Russia and Trump connection. How full does that bucket need to be before we can either clear Trump or charge him? How long will it take to get the answers together in a meaningful way? Will anyone care?

NPR did interviews that they broadcast yesterday with people from California asking about Adam Schiff and Devin Nunez. You know what the people said? They thought both of them were doing too much on the Russian probe and not doing things to help the people they represent.

People are too self absorbed and his is what is causing the divide and partisanship in Washington and in the country. Every issue is made into an us versus them mentality and it really sickness me. In my opinion, we need to be pragmatic and look at what works versus what doesn't work. Policies that actually work and benefit people are worth discussion and we need government to assess the effectiveness of laws rather than political ideologies. Basing our decisions on facts and evidence rather than on speculation and party tribalism is the solution. But to be pragmatic is to be mature and wise; this is what we are lacking in America today. Wisdom and cooperation.
