President Trump wished Americans a Happy New Year from his Mar-a-Lago luxury resort in south Florida on Sunday, saying that his New Years wishes extended to not just his supporters but also his "enemies" and the "fake news" media.
"As our Country rapidly grows stronger and smarter, I want to wish all of my friends, supporters, enemies, haters, and even the very dishonest Fake News Media, a Happy and Healthy New Year. 2018 will be a great year for America!" Trump tweeted.

Hours earlier he had tweeted another New Years wish to Americans that included a video summarizing his accomplishments in 2017
The new Trump tweet echoed some of his past New Year's wishes on the social media site, where he frequently shares his thoughts on the holidays.

Happy New Year to all, including to my many enemies and those who have fought me and lost so badly they just don't know what to do. Love!

Do you believe that The State Department, on NEW YEAR'S EVE, just released more of Hillary's e-mails. They just want it all to end. BAD!

The president's tweet comes as he rings in the New Year from Mar-a-Lago, where he will attend a private end of year party.

Prices for the party have risen up to $750 since Trump has taken office.

The White House announced on Sunday Trump would be monitoring security precautions taking place across the country in the midst of celebrations.

"The president has been briefed on security measures that are being taken by federal, state and local authorities to help ensure a safe and festive New Years Eve. We will continue to monitor throughout the night," White House spokeswoman Helen Ferre said in a statement.
