Trump and North Korea
It is difficult to understand the media's portrayal of trump as being a threat to national security in standing up to North Korea. North Korea has been threatening the U.S and western powers for years and these are not idle threats-they have invested in weaponry and pursued nuclear long range capability to back it up.
The strategy of pacification has been tried for many years and North Korea keeps building and gaining ground. The regime oppresses its people, who it obviously does not care about, and plies it money and time into attacking the west. The vitriol in the regime's speeches and statements should not be taken lightly given the active steps taken by the regime. North Korea has made it pretty clear that negotiations do not change their ambitions.
While China publicly opposes a regime change, there isn't much choice at this point. The question is not if North Korea will have the weaponry to directly threaten the U.S. mainland, its simply when. They are threatening South Korea everyday and the years of negotiation have only made the threat worse. If the problem had been fixed 10 years ago it would have cost a lot less to fix, delay is only making the problem worse.
It is difficult to understand a media that tries to blame president trump for this. While we may not agree with everything Trump says, it is wildly incoherent for the media to try to blame him for the North Korea situation
