Trump baffles scientists, insisting ice caps 'at a record level'

Sitting down for a rare TV interview with past winner of his TV show “The Celebrity Apprentice,” President Trump made a startling claim about global warming to Piers Morgan.
Trump telling Morgan, “The ice caps were going to melt. They were going to be gone by now. But now they’re setting records. They’re at a record level.”
While not quite as startling as his 2012 tweet claiming climate change is a Chinese hoax, Trump’s baffling statement about the ice caps, directly contradicted by this graphic tweeted out by a climate scientist showing the exact opposite. He’s right they’re setting records, but according to NASA they’re record lows.
Trump also debated the proper terminology, telling Morgan, “Look, it used to not be climate change, it used to be global warming. That wasn’t working too well because it was getting too cold all over the place.
