interview with patrick from WETRUST

I am very happy to present you a small interview i did with Patrick from the Wetrust team.

-Dear Patrick, can you give us a brief status report at what stage in development the project currently is?

We are currently working on our first product - the Trusted Lending Circle and this is slated for release by the end of the year. When we launch products, we track KPIs and user satisfaction granularly. We adjust frequently and make bold moves when releasing and killing products. Tom, our VP of Product is working on a detailed roadmap and that will be released within the next couple weeks.

-The main focus of the project the “roscas” are a very unique and interesting concept, can you tell us what potential you see in them and how they can change the future of finance?

ROSCAs or Trusted Lending Circles as we are calling them - build on the social web of trust and each individual's reputation. This is exciting because the paradigm of lending through social communities allow for communities to bootstrap themselves without the interference of banks.

-A lot of focus is on the rosca lending circles, what about the trst token, what is the use case and what future use cases can you see for the trst tokens?

The TRST Token will be the gas from premium features on our platform. We've made a high level video here:

-How can token holders benefit from wetrust except from participating in roscas?

As the popularity of our platform grows, demand for premium features will as well and this will translate to our TRST tokens.

-China has been creating a storm of uproar and fear with their regulation attempts, how do you see the topic of regulation and how is wetrust prepared for it?

We are working with the best lawyers in the world and make sure we stay on top of the latest regulatory requirements. So far, we are in full compliance and our legal team does not have a concern with the product we are building.

-How can the community be a bigger part of we trust, how do you handle the topic of governance?

We have bi-weekly updates and on the off weeks, we will be having AMAs on our public Slack. All opinions and questions are taken seriously and feedback are incorporated in our product design.
