Logistics supplies in mountain climbing expeditions are one indicator of success. The team completed the climbing route. This includes food supplies & water supplies (stock).
The identification of water sources according to the position of the camp area (or vice versa) is a strategic step to optimize Roaming Climb from Minus tanker climbing speed to achieve distance targets and increase opportunities related to other supplies, security and so on.
As applied to previous expeditions, East Timor's Last Exploration Team (JPAT) also relies on mountainous landscapes as a major water supply provider during the initial ascent in planning. This means that all camp points are plotted within a radius of 10-16 ha of water source area.

For Team personnel, other than as a training medium of knowledge of the field (day / night), this method also as a form of adaptation of tropical mountain environment especially at altitude> 1500mdpl.
Based on yesterday's records, the search for water sources (from spot camps) is often done at night due to the distance achievement factor according to the extended time.
Of the 10 camp site locations, only 1 camp location has not been ascertained there is a water source because at that time in addition to weather (rain) supports the availability of water, also there are stocks of water supplies brought for safety. While 9 other shelter camp positive positive there are water sources in the vicinity that can be accessed at a distance of 10 - 400m. Unless the area (valley) is hit by drought for months. It is almost impossible in the tropical mountains of Aceh.
