Trivia #2 - Rabbits eat shit!
How does shit taste like? I can't tell you but a rabbit should be able to tell you.
Rabbits have a special digestive system and they cannot absorb all the nutrients when the food passes through their digestive system for the first system. That's why they would eat their feces in order to absorb the nutrients completely. This is known as Coprophagia.
However, not all feces would be eaten by rabbits. Only the feces produced by cecum contain nutrients so they would only eat those feces. When they poo, their brain would transmit messages so that they will know which feces to eat and which one not to eat. The feces produced by cecum look like grapes actually!
So if you raise a rabbit, don't be afraid to see it eating its own shit! ;)
