RE: The Dirt King -- WindRoamer Tricycle ~ Original "Some Assembly Required" Project ~
I'm writing this with the biggest smile....
Man, tricycles have come a long way since I was a kid. That is one killer heavy duty super trike! Wow!
I missed the trailer hitch that @eric-boucher's sharp eye spotted, but I love the shock-absorbing system which caught my eye and which is even better than I imagined from the photos, based on your description.
Nice assembly job, courageous test drive, and even better description and story about the entire event! Thanks for sharing! ;) 😄😇😄
Thanks so much for the view and for the nice comments. I really appreciate it. It was as fun to write as it was to put together. Though not as much fun as the ride ( :
You should read @eric-boucher 's comments, he really took it to heart in a very fun way. Creative Imaginations' run wild. And yes...these things have come a long way from the days of old...you need an air pump to keep this thing going. Thanks again.
Yes, I did read Eric's comments. My kids had big wheels and wore out the plastic wheels riding them. And Eric's super-springy downhill racing bubbles sound like a ton of fun!
Did you by any chance see my story about the "Giant Running Robot" Man-Amplifier? I'm sure Eric would like that one, too! ;)
I have a design for a lunar racer that I intend, God willing, to one day write about here on Steemit... How about a race around the Moon?
I missed that article before, but just checked it out. Pretty amazing stuff. The human imagination is unbridled, that's for sure. I think someone made a bubble like Eric talks about. Some sort of thing with a gyroscopic seat. That would be a downhill trip! Let me know when you post about the Lunar racer. Sounds pretty cool.
I will try to remember to let you know!
I "invented" the concept many years ago when Omni magazine ran a contest. I'm hoping to relocate my original 300-word write-up describing it. :)
I know how that remember stuff goes...amazing you have an invention. Maybe I'll see it some time through my telescope ( :
