eBay Warning - be careful buying miners

Hi all,

today a sad short story as I thought I bought a ANTMiner L3+ for a good price.
BUT it was never delivered.. :(
Means I spent 1400€ without getting anything - sofar!

What happened:
some days back I voted on an auction but then did not win since someone was willing to pay more. Then I got the message that the bidder was taking back his offer - so I decided to take it as the offer was pretty OK (not damned cheap to be identified as trick). To save fee I was asked to transfer the money - somehow usual and I did after I got an email confirmation... That was my bad decission! Why?

5 days later I complained since nothing was delivered and no DHL tracking code as expected. So I opened a case with eBay two days later. After one day I got the message, that most likely the account of the trader was hacked and stuff that does not exist was offered! I still hope that I get the money back as I immediately asked my bank to retransfer but I assume it is lost. Note: it was a german bank account so nothing on cayman island etc...

My advise NEVER transfer bigger amounts via bank transfer unless you are 100% sure (identity of receiver). Use Paypal (even with the fees) to get the protection of eBay.

Note: Why I am writing in english? no idea - maybe because just back from office (talking english all the time) :)
