I went to buy Audi A5 in 2015…

Salesman: When you are planning to buy the car?

Me: Today if you give a good deal

Salesman: Come to my desk. I will give you the best deal

After 1omins He came back with bill of 110k

Sales: This is the best we can do

Me: Thanks for your quote, sorry ..pretend to leave the showroom

Salesman: What happaned?

Me: Someone gave me much better deal for the same car

Salesman: Have seat first we can discuss..may be I can give you better than them

Me: No point to discuss, your quoted price is far away from the deal

Salesman: Tell me the deal, I will beat

Me: 72k

Salesman: you are joking

Me: No, I told you no point to discuss

Salesman: I don’t know how can someone give you this price, may be there was some miss communication between you and him (other salesman). I am 100% sure that car has not these options (Sline, 20inch wheels, Bang & olufsen, etc etc)

Me: I am car enthusiast and I know about cars better than sales people

Salesman: Wait for 10mins. This is not possible but there is no harm to try. Let me know talk to my sales manager

Me: Go ahead but you have to beat not to compete that quote

Aftr 10–15mins he came back

Salesman: Congrats manager said we will not loose a customer, car is yours for 71,9500.
