GRAMMY'S AWARD 2018
The 60th edition of the prestigious Grammy awards is currently ongoing at the Madison Square Garden in New York.
As we look forward to what the rest of the night holds, these are so far the biggest winners of the 2018 Grammy Awards.
Leading the park with the highest number of wins (so far) is Bruno Mars who has won a total of four awards. He hit single “That’s What I Like” bagged two awards in the “Best R&B Song” and “Best R&B Performance” categories and his 9-track album; “24K Magic” has also won two awards in the “Best R&B Album” and “Best Engineered Album, Non Classical” categories.
Bruno Mars was nominated in a total of six categories and is in hopes of winning in the two unannounced categories which are; Song of the Year and Album of the Year categories.
Kendrick Lamar who was nominated in seven categories has bagged three awards for the; Best Music Video – HUMBLE, Best Rap Performance – HUMBLE and Best Rap Song also for his smash hit “HUMBLE”.
Kendrick will be battling the in Best Album and Song of The Year categories against strong contenders like Bruno Mars and Jay-Z who has so far not bagged any award out of his eight nominations.
South African acapella group Ladysmith Black Mambazo has also emerged winners in the “Best World Album” category for their “Shaka Zulu Revisited: 30th Anniversary Celebration” album.
Reggae music icon Damian Marley has also won in the “Best Reggae Album” category for his 18-track album “Stony Hill” while British singer Ed Sheeran has won the Grammys in the “Best Pop Vocal Album” category for his third studio album; DIVIDE.
