11 year old girl in Zimbabwe saves friend from crocodile

I came across this story this morning and it warmed my heart. An 11 year old girl in Zimbabwe finished swimming when she heard her friend screaming for help. She noticed that her friend was being dragged underwater by a crocodile. Without a second thought, she jumped in the water, jumped on the crocodiles back and began beating the crocodile and gouging its eyes. After a while, the crocodile let the younger girl go and they both swam back to shore. Surprisingly, the victim only suffered mild injuries.

This story is amazing to me because I don't know many adults, let alone kids, that would do the same. It warms my heart that there are still heroes (sheroes :) this day in age! How awesome is it to see this fearless little girl not think twice about her own safety in order to save the life of a friend. How many of us can honestly say we would do the same?
