What is 8D Music and what is it?

8D music or 8D sound is a type of sound that seems to come from all directions. Although it seems a novel technique, the truth is that it has its origin in the 80s and is known as ambisonic, binaural or 3D sound.

It was discovered by the Buenos Aires native Hugo Zucareli, when he showed that we do not listen linearly, but rather we locate the sounds in space at 360 degrees angles .

Specifically, it consists of offering an immersive experience, something similar to what happens with virtual reality. In fact, its main focus is, precisely, video games and virtual reality.

But, exactly how does 8D music work ? Everything begins by manipulating the sound waves so that it sounds as if they come from multiple directions. Thus, those who make this audio are able to edit where it comes from and keep it moving. Therefore, it seems that it comes from all sides and that it moves around you.
