Tree Tuesday--Dead in Yellowstone
Good Tree Tuesday Steemians! Today's trees are some dead lodgepole pines from Yellowstone. These trees were interesting to me because of their location, standing dead among the ever expanding hot springs. The contrast of a gnarled black tree out in the steaming browns, grays, oranges, and whites made for some good pictures. I wondered how long they stayed alive once surrounded by the hot water and mineral deposits? I even told some of the living trees on the edge of these growing deposits to look out...I guess they can't really do anything about it, just hope the water starts flowing the other way!
