Aichryson : The tree of love
Aichryson is often called the "tree of love." This nickname hints at romance. Yet, "aichryson" means "eternally golden" in Greek. The popular "money tree" is a close relative. The "tree of love" shares its family. Both belong to Crassulaceae. They have some key differences.

About 15 Aichryson types can be grown. But, Aichryson domestica thrives indoors. It looks like the "money tree." It has similar spreading branches. The trunk is thick. The leaves are dense and fleshy. This plant is less tree-like than its relative.
Unlike the smooth "money tree," its leaves are soft. They feel like velvet. The heart shape gives it the "love tree" name.
This variety blooms regularly. The flowers seem small and plain at first. But, by mid-April, the plant bursts with color. Panicles of bright, golden-yellow flowers appear. They look like stars.
It is said that brighter blooms mean more love. More leaves signal more happiness. This makes it a favorite with plant lovers.
Growing a healthy plant indoors is easy.
