Treatment of essential tremor using Ultrasound!

It is not a long time that FDA approved (July 2016) a new technique for treating the essential tremor. Experiments show the efficacy of this technique. for example, the gif that I attached comes from the University of virginia, school of Medicine and done by Dr. Elias. This technique is growing and several other hospitals joined the study.
Briefly, in this technique, ultrasound energy can be focused in a small region and create heating. The mechanism is almost similar to using a magnifier which creates heating in its focal point. Focused ultrasound targets the deep brain, a small area which is responsible for the essential tremor.
The exciting part is that ultrasound is non-invasive and the patients do not need surgery and leave the hospital after a short recovery.
