I wanted to see the world

There are two kinds of people in this world: those who are easily satisfied with the status quo, and those who are willing to look to the future and explore the unknown.

The former is the majority, because most people will settle for the status quo and enjoy a relatively comfortable life after they have achieved a certain level of success. They have a salary, they can feed and clothe themselves every month, they have a house and a car, they can live in a big city, and they can win slightly when they compete with others. In such a situation, one's whole mentality is focused on the immediate, a state of self-satisfaction. It is difficult for such people to have the spirit of adventure and breakthrough that is behind the phrase "The world is so big, I want to go and see it".

There is, of course, a second kind of person who is very willing to look into the future and has the courage to break out of the status quo. Mark Zuckerberg was an honours student at Harvard University and could have got a good job after graduation. But he gave up his degree to found Facebook, as did Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and others. So, when a person starts to look to the future, his current situation no longer satisfies him.

There are many more such people in the world. Whether it was Mao Zedong or Zhou Enlai or Deng Xiaoping, or Liu Bang or Zhu Yuanzhang, they were all dissatisfied with the status quo and developed the determination to make the real world a better place through their own efforts, and eventually gained the ability to create a new world. When you want to reach the state of "the world is so big, I want to see it", you need to recognise whether you have the courage to give up the status quo and go into the unknown. You need to determine whether you are a person who is comfortable with the status quo or a person who is willing to look to the future and take risks.
