The game of #tavla (#backgammon) is extremely popular in Turkey. You can find places all over Istanbul with chai tea, backgammon, and possibly nargile (shisha hookah).

Tavla is also quite popular in Bulgaria, likely a relic of the Ottoman Empire days.
