Write The Trip #2 Trip to Malaysia, beginning with Kuala Lumpur.
Malaysia is my first country in Asia. I still remember how terrified I was getting off the plain, as I could only see people screaming. It was super hot, and I was feeling lost. There where individual bus drivers and taxi drivers trying to get as much costumers they could, and as the competition was huge, you had taxi drivers grabbing you from the hand in order to choose them.
As soon as I arrived in my hostel, I dropped of the things and went out to explore the city. I went to the Chinatown as it was located next to me, and tried to find some food. From what I've heard, it was not okay to eat sea food in Asia, as it's quite dangerous, dirty and sometimes old. I later discovered how wrong was I. My first dish was rice with chicken, and of course I tried to eat it with chopsticks. I failed. A really cool place to visit near China Town is Masjid Jamek, that attracts a lot of people due the architecture of the building.
The hostel that I was staying was really good, as it had a veranda used by a lot of backpackers, making the whole situation more welcoming, and of course it was a good opportunity to meet people. The following day I went to Batu Caves, one of the main attractions of Malaysia.
In 2016, 1,2 million people visited the festival. It was a cultural shock. A first time experience for me that left me speechless.
My third day, I decided to spend it around the city. I went to buddhist and hinduism temples that was spread all over the city. One of the most fascinating open places located in the city is outside I visited the national park, an enormous park that you can not visit in a single day. As the park is so huge, animals are creating their own environment.
