🌉America - Weekly Round-Up #27
Welcome to today's weekly Travelfeed America roundup brought to you by @guchtere and @for91days.
A lot of history has been written in Washington D.C.'s National Mall, which is the focus of our first feature in this week's Western Hemisphere round-up. For our second article, we stay in the US, but go even further back in history, for a walk at the Canyon of the Ancients, where we learn about the people (and llamas) who once inhabited the area. Finally, we have some amazing photos of lightning strikes over Utah in our final post of the week.
Three BEST posts for America

On June 1st I was in Washington DC wandering around what they call "The National Mall." It is America's most visited national park and on that day it was pretty crowded despite the heat. One of the stops that I visited that day was the famous Lincoln Memorial.

The name Hovenweep was tagged by a photographer in 1870, which most of these locations tended to have "been found." As I started my journey through these ancient ruins of my ancestors I didn't allow myself to get caught up in the hype and I just felt the area.

These llamas were happy hanging out by themselves and didn't want anything to do with us. I did get one when the brown and white one looked my way. At the top of the mountain we talked to their owner.
