The Best Forest in Silesia for Dogwalking! - Panewnicka Forests, Poland

Since it's Saturday, me and my wife decided to spend a bit more time in bed before heading out to the forest with our dogs. We are going to "Lasy Panewnickie" which in English translates to Panewnicka Forests.

Since we recently got married and were busy with wedding preparation and other things, it's been some time since our dogs were on a long walk, and boy do they look excited!~

We started our walk at 2pm, right past the entrance is the "Starganiec" water reservoir (the picture above). Around this time of the year, the water would recede. In full capacity, the water should reach the wodden pole stuck on the soil near the banks as seen on the picture below.

One of our dogs, Luna was so excited that she ran back and forth to my wife who was walking ahead of me then back at me again. Our other dog, Simon, on the other hand was more focused rummaging around the area in the hopes of probably finding wild pigs poo! He sure loves to curl and roll his bodies in those!

As we venture deeper into the forests, i can't help but snap a few pictures of probably the last week of warm and sunny day in autumn this year. The weather forecast for next week isn't looking good.

Along the way there were other people who were on walk with their loved ones or their dogs, there were even some people who still choose to lay down on the beach near the lake despite the cold wind blowing every now and then! Hope those people are okay!

We finally arrived to a bit of an open area which park management installed a few power lines which stretches around 1 km. At the end of the line there is a wider open space where we lay down with our dogs and gave them snacks to munch.

After our dogs are satisfied with their snacks and play time, we decided to go back since it's getting late and the temperature just keeps getting colder! We go back through another part of the forests which exits on the other side of "Starganiec". On this side, there are small wooden chairs and huts for people to hangout and probably cook some BBQ or just enjoy the day. Before we got back to our car, we sat a few minutes and enjoy the view from one of the wooden chairs.
