Your first photo made me say "Ouch!!"... it reminded me of a time that one of those spines pricked me. Yeah... it pricked me! I was far from that barrel cactus, and one of its arms reached out to prick me, hehehe!
Santa Barbara is beautiful! I thought that I was going to UCSB, but my Dad and Mom insisted that I attend the Private (Catholic) Jesuit University in SF.

How I wish my computer did not crash last year where all my travel photos were stored on its hard drive. When everything is said and done, only the photos remain.

Ooo school at UCSB would have been fun! But sooooo very different from the hustle and bustle and culture in San Francisco.
My husband always wants us to move to Santa Barbara. I love it but it seems too small and too far away from a big city to live their year round. Not to mention $$$ But they do have a restaurant there called Finney’s! 🤣😂🤣
Maybe when we are retired we can vacation there more?
