My very rough planned route
This is how you walk 9000 km across Europe!
I thought I'd make a post to show the map that's in my profile picture.
It's the very rough route plan which has already changed slightly as I make my actual way across the land.
I'm not the kind of person who plans ahead so most of the route decisions will be made week by week, with only a rough goal for the month ahead.
I planned this journey by picking the places that are important to me. I wanted to start walking from Ukraine and head back to Britain, and I knew I wanted to include Bulgaria, the Balkans and the camino to Santiago in that route.
So you get this wonderful wriggly, definitely not the direct path, that takes me to two corners of Europe before heading up through France and back home to the UK.
I kept telling everyone it would take two years and so far I'm roughly on track. I set off in September 2018 and I hope to finish before winter 2020. No more snow, please!
Just to be clear (if you can't guess from the name!) I'm walking all of this. Every step. 9000km on foot.
