It was a joy to follow along with you on your trip. When we first moved to Australia, we almost went to WA. I'm sort of regretting we didn't now!

Talking of pelicans, my husband accidentally got one caught up in his fishing line. A young man who he was fishing with waded out to catch it and brought it in so that they could untangle it. When the man went to release it, he foolishly let go of the beak first and it whipped round and got his while head in its mouth!

The pelican was unharmed, the man sustained a small cut and everyone had a good laugh and lesson learnt. Don't underestimate pelicans!
