A walk in the mountain front of the sea / Un paseo por la montaña frente al mar (Sierras Tejeda, Andalucía)

One of the best thing of being in a place like this corner in Andalucía, south Spain, is the connection between the mountains and the sea. Something that really can be magical.

Just a few kilometers from peaks, like La Maroma at 2066 meters, to the Mediterranean sea. Lot of paths to walk, lot of wall to climb, some rivers to rappel,... And to take an amaizing gaze to sea, and some days even to see the Atlas mountains on the close african continent. 

Sometimes the plan can even be a perfect mix: morning walking up and down throw the paths, and an afternoon swimming, snorkeling or just enjoying the sea in the coast line. Did I say that in the water of this corner of the Alboran sea are some of the best spots to dive in Europe? 

Amaizing colors, nice forms. For some winter days can be a great idea even to play with the snow at the same time that we enjoy the sun. A perfect destination for nature lovers. 

And why not, a good way to recover energies: enjoy the taste of avocados. The reason? Here is another surprise waiting for us, the subtropical weather that let us to enjoy the taste of the nature on different ways. 

Last day was something like that, I just woke up in the morning, a call of a friend with keywords: "hey, it´s a nice day, should we go to take a walk?". Of course, the answer only could be one... 

• Where: Natural Park of Sierra Tejeda, in Nerja - Maro area, Málaga, south Spain. 
• What to do: walk, climb, snorkel, dive,... and overall: enjoy the wild that surrounded us.
• Extra tip: try the avocados from La Axarquía.

Una de las mejores cosas de estar en un lugar como es este rincón de Andalucía es la conexión entre las montañas y el mar. Algo que puede ser realmente mágico. 

Tan sólo unos kilómetros entre los altos picos, como La Maroma a 2066 metros, y el mar Mediterráneo. Infinidad de senderos para caminar, de paredes para escalar, algunos ríos que rappelar,… Y para echar un vistazo a las bonitas vistas de la mar, incluso algunos días para ver las montañas del Atlas, ya en el cercano continente africano. 

El plan puede ser una combinación perfecta: una mañana caminando arriba y abajo a través de senderos, y la tarde nadando en el mar, buceando o simplemente disfrutando de la costa. ¿He dicho que además aquí encontramos algunos de los mejores puntos de inmersión en Europa?

Increíbles colores, preciosas formas. Algunos días de invierno puede ser una gran idea jugar con la nieve al tiempo que se disfruta del sol. Un destino perfecto para los amantes de la naturaleza. 

Y porqué no, una buena forma de recuperar energías: degustar los aguacates. ¿El motivo? Aquí encontramos otra sorpresa esperando, el clima subtropical en esta zona hace posible disfrutar de los placeres de la naturaleza de muchas maneras. 

El último día fue algo así, recién levantado por la mañana recibo la llamada de una amigo: “hey tío, hace un día de lujo, ¿nos damos un pateo por el monte?”. Por supuesto, la respuesta sólo podía ser una…
