#1 Time to travel: Mauritius Part 2 by @travelfox
In the southeast of the island are many sugarcane fields and the original vegetation is almost undetectable. Upon arrival at the boat dock we boarded our speed boat and the boat tour started.
The first destination was the Grand Port Bay and the island "Ile Aux Fouquets" (Lighthouse Island). On this island is an old lighthouse, which formerly led the ships to the port of Mahebourg. The sea around the island has a beautiful turquoise coloration and a sandbar leads into the water. Find this post on the map Find this user on the map
#2 SPRING. SNOW. SWITZERLAND. by @smalltall
I always had this romantic idea of a European winters including white Christmases, natural ice skating, sledding and, of course, snowboarding.
Little did I know The Netherlands had little of this and was instead grey and wet! BAH! Definitely reminded me why the warmer seasons are my favourite. Thankfully for me, Spring has sprung! Which is so great but, in the last days of winter, I realised that I STILL hadn’t had a chance on the European ski slopes.
This was always a dream of mine and I even applied for dozens of mountain jobs my first winter here (pity you need 3 languages minimum). Lucky for me, I have a great friend in Zurich who is always up for an adventure. Find this post on the map Find this user on the map
#3 Exploring Copenhagen by bike - These are the top things to do and see in this city! by @lizanomadsoul
In Copenhagen the easiest and most common way to get around is by bike! It is one of the most bicycle friendly cities of the world. Almost 37% of the inhabitants are using the bike to get to work, school or university every day. Every street has a bike way with its own traffic lights. That are more people using the bike to get to work than in the entire USA. They cover 1,3 million kilometers every day by bike!! So it is a really healthy city :)
We started at Nørrebro, where my friend lives. From there we went towards the city center crossing bridges and getting used to bikers rules like how to make a sign to stop, go left or right and what to be aware of regarding the traffic. Our first obligatory stop was at Nyhavn
