Travel Digest
#1 Iya Valley, Japan; Camping, Hiking, and Meeting the Resident Monsters!
For our first post of the day @jessbear takes us to the Iya Valley in Japan. The area, is stunning with its lush vegetation mystified by a layer of fog and mist. With clear turquoise water running through the valley - fresh, clean and unsurprisingly very cold! You might feel as if you're stepping back some in time, crossing the Kazurabashi bridge - one of the last remaining vine bridges in the area! Or if you want a glimpse of Japanese humor, they build a statue of a peeing boy right on a cliff to imitate the daredevils that were trying to impress their friends by doing just that. On the trail you'll also find a bunch of wooden art pieces, so called yokai - (monsters), said to inhabit the area!

For our next featured post @wnfdiary takes us to the Gardens By the Bay in Singapore. It seems as if our team just can't get enough of this wonder! This time we get taken their at night, to experience it in a completely different way though. The famous Super Trees towering out over us, covered in in all sorts of climbing plants! A spectacle of music and lighting making the entire scene have an even more dramatic effect! After a slight anxiety attack at losing her partner, not having a phone or address of where she was staying on her - everything turns out fine and the show a wonderful spectacle.

Our last featured post of today takes us to Alhambra - a palace and fortress complex - in Spain. In some parts of Spain you can still clearly see the Arabian influence, and Alhambra is no exception here, with most of it being built by Moorish sultans. Later on Spanish rulers expanded the palace with additional buildings in Renaissance styles. It doesn't only offer architectural beauty, but you'll get some amazing views over Granada thrown in as well! All of this in combination with the lush green forest growing around it, makes it easy to see why poets called it "A pearl set in emeralds".
