Ascent and Observation of growth population of Sumatran Edelweis Flower after the earthquake of 2013 at Mount Burni Telong, Bener Meriah Indonesia.
Hi there, welcome to my adventurer.
Bener Meriah is one of the regencies that has a natural tourist attractions and worth to visit. In addition, Bener Meriah Regency is also a high plateau in Aceh. This vegetable-producing regency, Fruits and Coffee has excellent tourism potential. Starting from Waterfalls, Mountains and Tropical Rainforest.
Mount Burni Telong is one of the most active volcanoes in Aceh, the last eruption in 2000 down. Mount Burni Telong is located in Bener Meriah Regency with an altitude of 2.606 Mdpl and overgrown with rare flowers (Edelweis Sumatera). But over time, this mountain became one of the most preferred by the climbers because of its easy route. In the year 2013 ago Bener Meriah district in the quake earthquake, many homes that collapsed due to the earthquake. Me and my friends of nature lovers of Aceh participated volunteers during the earthquake, one of them observed the status of Mount Burni Telong and observed the rare populations of rare Edelweis Sumatra.
Climbing route to Mount Burni Telong through Rembune Village, Timang Gajah District. This route is often used by every climber to climb to Burni Telong. The total time traveled through this path is about 5 hours until Shelter 3, and 1.5 hours to Puncak. Me, Wawan, Tuna, Lancang started climbing to the Jungle Door, we will observe the edelweiss flower popolation and observe the condition of the crater at Mount Burni Telong.
Me and the team will be camping at Shelter 3, before we will stop at Shelter 1 to fetch water. Because the water source is only available in Shelter 1, so we will fill the water supply for 2 days. Next we will go to Shelter 2 and go straight to Shelter 3.
We only stay overnight in Shelter 3, the next day will continue the journey to the top and will make observations of edelweiss interest. Because the population of edelweiss flowers grows along the route to the summit and reaches the peak. Paginy we are getting ready to continue the journey, we only carry the logistics up to the peak and the rest we left in Shelter 3. Methods like this in order to reduce the load carried, not forget also the tent in the lock.
My observations have been detected, I started to find some edelweis tree trunks of Sumatra. Along the path to the summit I found many populations of Edelweiss flowers, but the stems are small, short and small flowers. I also see many newly grown beside-sampung lanes.
I arrived at Shelter Goa for a break before going to the summit, my observations are quite up here. There are unpleasant views of the cave shelter, many stones are written the names of nosy climbers. This is what makes the scene so not good, the lack of awareness of climbers to make the mountain so damaged and dirty.
Our journey continues to the top, we have to climb rocks about 4 meters above the cave shelter.
The journey from the cave shelter to the summit is only half an hour, it's a normal climb. Finally me and the team got to the top, all looked happy.
The weather was very bright, beautiful panorama served. The green of the mountains and countryside was beautifully presented, we enjoyed it immensely.
After peak and photographs, my team and I went down to Shelter 3. From peak to Shelter 3 it only took 1 hour. From Shelter 3 to the Jungle Door only takes 3 hours. We got down to Post start successfully and all safe.
Sumatran edelweis flower populations are still found in the mountains of Burni Telong and are now well preserved. It's just a lot of vandalism and garbage that has not been well coordinated, therefore the need for socialization to climbers to keep the cleanliness and beauty of the mountain Burni Telong.
Thank you for the team that has supported this ascent, thank you also for those of you who have seen and read this post. Hopefully useful and fun.
