Stagweek party in Amsterdam. The Queen's birthday.
When going to Amsterdam at the end of April, is to be orange, because at this time in the Netherlands, is a Grand holiday - Queen's birthday, or just a day of national unity. On this day the whole country is dressed in bright orange. My suitcase looked like this:
So the bachelor party. We have gathered a fairly large company in the amount of 16 people, bought tickets, booked a quadruple room in the hostel. We all get to the airport, it was decided to rent a van, minivan with driver, or, more simply, the bus. Of course, the adventure began in Russia, and they were linked as no surprise, with alcohol.
ATTENTION! The Ministry of health and I warning: alcohol is injurious to health and leads to adventures!
When we arrived at the airport, one of our friend was so drunk that could not stand on his feet, which didn't put him on a plane. I also failed to fly due to the fact that someone messed up the papers and mixed up my name sometimes, so I could not find in the list of passengers. Looking ahead, I managed to get compensation from the airline for the incident.
So all departed, and I was left instead with sleeping on the floor another. Without hesitation, you begin to look for alternative flight options. The closest and most convenient flight turned out to be at the airport, and we were in Domodedovo. By the time my friend woke up and we went to catch a taxi. Halfway it turned out that the booking we do not confirmed and the tickets will be. I again surfed the Internet and found two vacant ticket for Amsterdam with a stopover in Zurich. Flight in 3 hours from Domodedovo, transplantation 45 minutes and the price is fantastic - at 12 of thousands. So we were still able to fly to Amsterdam the same day.
The next day greeted us with perfect weather:
Arriving by public transport to Amsterdam centre, we plunged into the holiday. Everywhere were people dressed in orange clothes, the locals put the speakers on the window sills, organized under the Windows of the small open air.
And now attention: if you find yourself in Amsterdam and run into the street, the one that is in the next photo, be sure to scroll to the end (you will hit the fence) and visit the bar, which is located in this dead end. There are often held shares of various alcohol for large companies (we took 5 pints of Guinness for the price of three), and they prepare a super tasty English Breakfast.
This holiday is basically the mass consumption of alcohol and soft drugs, so there's more to tell there is especially nothing. But in the next post I'll tell a funny story about how we settled in the hostel and about a trip to Amsterdam to visit our friend.
And here's a little the impact of the holiday:
