10,000 ROSES that glow in the dark| Travel Destination post #2
For today's blog, it's about a tourist spot that I went last summer with me, my boyfriend and my cousin.
There's a place here in Cebu, Philippines where you can see and take photographs of white roses that glow in the dark.
10,000 Roses Cafe is located in Day-as, Cordova near the famous Lantaw Floating Restaurant. Its location is around 3 km from the main road of Cordova proper and 30 minutes away from Mactan bridge in Lapu-Lapu City.
10,000 roses cafe is mid to high range cafe. That means that the items on their menu are slightly more expensive compared to the others. Coffee starts at 110 pesos, that's $2.2, and the food items from their menu range from 220 pesos to 450 pesos, that's $4.4 to $9.
Note: There is an entrance fee for about 25-50 pesos since the cafe has become a tourist destination here in Cebu.
BUT HOW ILL YOU GET THERE?
The cafe maybe several kilometers away from Lapu-Lapu City but there's no need to fret. There are lots of jeepneys from Lapu-Lapu City that will take you to Cordova proper. Once you reach Cordova, you can then, get a trisikad, tricycle or habal-habal. The trip going to the cafe is short so you won't spend a lot for the fair.
10,000 BLOOMS
The main reason why tourists and locals flock to the cafe is the 10,000 led white roses that glow when the sun is set. Fields of white roses on both sides of a concrete foot path leading to the main dining area is the selling point of the cafe. The roses are about 3 feet tall and are made of plastic. When viewed from certain angles around the area, two parallel fields could look like endless fields of white blossoms.
At around 6 pm every night, the white roses transform into magical bright blossoms. Each flower lights up and becomes part of a huge blanket of white lights behind the cafe. At the center of it all is a bright gigantic flower piece neatly glued on the wall of the cafe.
Late afternoons and early evenings are perfect at 10,000 roses cafe. The soothing cool breeze from the ocean will give you relaxation from the random stresses of city living.
The view of the sunset plus the fields of white roses is a perfect combo!

The ambiance is perfect at this place especially if you're with someone special. Perfect for photoshoots too!
But the price of their menu is a bit pricy for me. Overall score is 7/10!
