The St. Vitus Cathedral - an impressive Gothic sacral building
It is located in Prague Castle, but really it is a masterpiece for this beauty. However, the space on the front of the cathedral is not very wide, and unless it is quite crouching and looking up at the top, it is important to note that the front view does not fit in the picture. It is a must-see spot. To take full advantage, come early (before 9am), to be among the first to enter (the entrance is included in the ticket circuit A Castle). Feel free to pay the right photo extra, it's worth it, the interior is fabulous! If the tower is not working, climb to the top, your efforts will be rewarded with a sublime view of the city.
This Cathedral impressed as a lot. It takes your breath away. It's located into the city's castle, Hradcany. The entry is free. Usually, there is a long queue but when we visited (november) there were only a few people outside. Anyway, if you rent an audio guide, you skip the line and go directly in. We had one but it wasn't worthy in my opinion. I wouldn't buy one again.
So, my advice: go visit the Saint Vitus Cathedral :)
Everything about the St. Vitus Cathedral has already been said and written. It was started in the 14th and finished in the 20th century. That's extraordinary. These are also its enormous dimensions. Bohemian kings are buried here. The cathedral is also famous for its 15,000 square-foot rosette, which Frantisek Kysela composed in 1921 from at least 27,000 glasses. Although the interior is huge, you can hardly get ahead because of the tourist crowds. Some practical information: In the tourist info compared. From the cathedral you can buy the tickets. You can choose between different sightseeing spots. We chose the cathedral, the old royal palace and St. George Basilica. This ticket cost 125 crowns per person.
