La Baume Obscure - A Cave Adventure Near Grasse, France (Video)

Habt ihr vor, nach Südfrankreich zu fahren, vielleicht in die Parfümstadt Grasse? Ein kurzer Abstecher, nur 17 km vom Zentrum der Stadt Grasse entfernt, könnte euch ein Höhlenabenteuer bescheren, das wirklich jeder genießen kann!

La Baume Obscure is a cave system of which about 1/2 mile can be explored on a self-guided tour. The tour is set to light and sound, revealing a veritable wonderland of stalactites and stalagmites, an astonishing diversity of karst features, fossils, underground streams and waterfalls. On a leisurely 60 minute walk 200 feet below ground you'll explore a truly magical place!
Naturally, the entire cave is under video surveilance and intercoms troughout the tour route connect you topside whenever the need should arise. Actually, the dirt road approach to the cave entrance is more dangerous than this underground adventure, at least for the shocks of your car. Watch the video and see for yourself ;-)
La Baume Obscure ist ein Höhlensystem, von dem man ca. 700 m selbständig und ohne Führer erkunden kann. Die Tour ist musikalisch untermahlt, mit Lichteffekten gestaltet und betört mit einem wahren Wunderland aus Stalaktiten und Stalagmiten, der erstaunlichen Vielfalt des Karsts, Fossilien, unterirdischen Bächen und Wasserfällen. Auf einem gemütlichen 60-minütigen Spaziergang 70 m unter der Erde könnt ihr einen wirklich magischen Ort erkunden!
Natürlich wird die gesamte Höhle videoüberwacht und über die Tourstrecke verteilte Sprechanlagen verbinden euch bei Bedarf mit der Rezeption. Ehrlich gesagt, die Anfahrt zur Höhle über eine Art Buckelpiste ist gefährlicher als die Höhle selber, zumindest für eure Stoßdämpfer. Schaut einfach das Video an ;-)

PS: Sieht so aus als wäre der Hinweg einwenig holprigg gewesen ;)
Tja, es ist schon eine Attraktion, die in den Hotels der Gegend mit Broschüren beworben wird. Website auch. Es ist aber überhaupt nicht überlaufen und eher beschaulich. Die Schotterpiste Chemin de Ste.-Anne zieht sich über ein paar Kilometer hin und dürfte wohl auch eher abschreckend sein. Es lohnt sich aber auf jeden Fall.
