Goa : The Indian Beach Paradise and the Party Capital

Every person that visits India and has a young soul visits this beautiful union territory of GOA. Goa is a paradise that Westerners have been escaping to for years. The Portuguese ruled Goa, this ensured a unique culture was established that marked out this small little enclave as being a bit different to the rest of India. Most of the tourists come to do yoga and get in touch with their spirituality, hit the beach and party, chill and relax on the numerous beaches, or all of the above.

There are a lot of beaches in goa with some that are family oriented and some that have the young people hanging out in the shack and enjoying the night life of goa. Goa is divided into the North Side and the South side. Few of the best North Beaches are - this is the young side of Goa and south being the "Resorts" side.

North Side : Keri Beach or Kerim Beach, it is the northern-most beach of Goa and located close to Tiracol fort.Arambol Beach, 16 km long unexplored beach surrounded by cliffs on two sides, with a Fresh Water Lake and chirpy markets nearby, Arambol is considered to be one of the best beaches in Goa. Vagator Beach - Quiet and calm beach. It is beautifully set amidst the cliffs with soft and white sand and is perfect for relaxing. Candolim Beach- my favourite beach - This laid back beach hosts the Sunburn Festival in December. It has the Aguada fort overlooking the sea and the beach and is one of the best and longest beaches in Goa Candolim is located 13 km north of Panaji.

South Side: Colva Beach, this beautiful beach is famous for its romantic evenings, great seafood and the most happening nightlife in South Goa.Agonda Beach, It is a quiet beach ideal for chilling, swimming, walking, eating and just generally doing nothing. Agonda Beach is located 37 km from Margao.Polem Beach,Southern most beach in Goa, this is a secluded beach with stretches of white sands and rocks, unspoilt and clean water -ideal for swimming and sunbathing. Migratory birds and dolphins could also be spotted sometimes.

Water sports are really cheap and economical in Goa. This, after travelling to Bangkok, Maldives, Mexico would be the most economical of the places to do these activities.
