Visitando el Palacio de Viana se puede hacer un recorrido histórico por la evolución de los patios cordobeses y todo ello paseando por el mismo edificio.

El palacio tiene 500 años y los patios siempre han sido los protagonistas de su construcción. A lo largo del tiempo el edificio ha ido creciendo y ganado dimensiones. En cada amplicación siempre se configuró algún patio nuevo.

Las casas con patio han existido desde hace 4000 años a.c. Este modo de construcción se empleaba en palestina o Egipto, por ejemplo. Los romanos diseñaban así sus casas. Más adelante, fueron los árabes los que les gustaba de habitar en recintos con patio.

En el Palacio de Viana hay 13 patios. Todos muy agradables, relajantes y bonitos. Están muy cuidados. En cada uno han cultivo unas plantas diferentes, para crear sensaciones distintas. Resulta muy placentero escuchar el fluir tranquilo del agua y el piar de los pájaros, así como apreciar los sutiles aromas.

Se accede a la casa por el Patio del Recibo y en él estaban las caballerizas. La portada del patio es renacentista, del siglo XVI y se diseñó para mostrar el poderío de esta noble familia.

La parte denominada “Jardín de Viana” es una parte romántica y refinada. Se hizo en el siglo XIX y está muy estructurado. Para mi, lo mas bonito es la fuente circular central con tiestos en el borde. Es muy bello el agua donde se reflejan las hojas de la palmera.

En el Patio de los Jardineros se guardan los utensilios de trabajo que emplean los jardineros de este palacio de Córdoba.

El Patio de la Capilla se llama así por que tiene una pequeña capilla anexa. Es del siglo XVII aunque se incorporó a la casa en el siglo XIX. Es un patio recogido.

Si vais a Córdoba reservad una hora para visitar esta casa y sus fabulosos patios. Hay visitas guiadas a la casa. Vale la pena.
