Travel with Vinny#6: Quick stop to belgium

Hey guys,

This article is long overdue. I never thought it would be so hard to write everyday while traveling, but turns out it is one hell of a challenge. Well, at least it means that I am having some fun.

Last week, I was on my way to see my girlfriend in Sweden and decided to make a quick two day stop at one of my friends place in Belgium.

After some good to see you hugs, it was time for her to show us what they like to eat and drink in her part of the world, and since she owns a bed and breakfast with a bar, we had the full Belgium experience.

We ate cold traditional food with some of the best beers I ever tasted.

I would have never think cold food could have been so delicious.

Their beers are pretty delicious too by the way. After trying all 10 of what they had there (followed by a very good night), I chose this one as my favorite. For those of you that like dark and strong beers like me, the Rochefort 10 is a MUST.

The next day, she brought us at her secret spot on a little hill so we could see all the surrounding fields.

It was pretty sunny on the way there!

And It started to rain as soon as we made it to the top. We still stayed there to enjoy the view for an hour as nothing could stop us from having a good time.

Unlike this cow, the rain made her all grumpy! Or it looks like it anyway. Lucky for her, the rain didn't last much longer.

That is pretty much it for my little stop in Belgium! If you ever visit the country, do not forget to go and see the Rochefort region as it is a beautiful area with a lot to offer.
